Shopping for Hospital Indemnity Plans

Expenses such as plan deductibles, copays, and coinsurance for doctor and emergency room visits, diagnostic testing, supplies, and out-of-network care may not be fully covered. Many people are not financially prepared to manage these additional costs.
Hospital indemnity insurance helps provide financial support when you’re admitted and confined to a hospital due to an accident or illness. These plans typically pay a lump-sum benefit upon admission and a daily benefit for each day you’re hospitalized. Additional benefits may also be paid for time spent in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

To shop for a hospital indemnity plan, complete the following steps:

3. Select who you are shopping for.
4. Select Hospital Indemnity Plans. Then select Save and Continue.
5. The Hospital Indemnity plan results appear.
6. Select the Coverage Amount.
7. Select View Plan or View Plan Details to review the Optional Benefits and Plan Documents.
8. Select any Optional Benefits you would like to add.
9. Select Save and Add to Cart when you’ve chosen a plan.
10. Select View Cart on the Shopping List to review your plan selection.
11. Select Start Checkout to navigate to the Apply page. You’ll be required to call us to complete the Hospital Indemnity application over the phone with a Via Benefits licensed benefit advisor.
12. Select Schedule a call.
